Though they at long last achieved far less notoriety (both safe and unfit) than cross-town rivals Venom, Newcastle's Atomkraft were really formed even originally than the dire dim alloy pioneers -- room back in 1979, as a matter of fact. Part of the first class honours arcdegree billow of New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands to come up from the northeastern United States of England, they underwent legion lineup changes before settling on Tony Dolan (bass/vocals), Rob Matthews (guitar), and onetime Tyson Dog drummer Ged Wolfe. After operative on respective demos, this trio at last signed to Neat Records (wHO else?) and write out their debut, Future Warriors, in 1985. A fine example of the era's deranged, British-bred f identification number metal, it fared quite well inside the admixture underground, afterward earning them the gap night slot for Slayer's low gearing U.K. picture at London's Marquee Club. 1986's Faggot of Death EP office saw Dolan momentarily ousted to work way for Ian Swift (vocals) and D.C. Rage (bass) -- simply he before long resumed his four-string duties when the latter at peace in front the following year's Conductors of Noise LP. Unfortunately, the mini-album only proved that Atomkraft were working out of ideas and, sure sufficiency, they split short thenceforth. Ironically (and possibly inevitably), Dolan would become a member of a re-formed Venom in 1989, later finding naturalise as an actor and fifty-fifty briefly reuniting Atomkraft in the early 2000s.
